Sanford Programs were established through a generous gift by renowned philanthropist and businessman, Mr. Sanford, in order to serve the global needs of the 21st century. Sanford Programs provide innovative and inspirational education programs to teachers and to nonprofit and for-profit leaders through the Institute of Philanthropy. Sanford Programs are designed with a commitment to making a difference in society. The Programs’ mission is to create positive societal change through the development of nonprofit leaders and to create educators who teach inspirational programs serving worldwide needs.

Sanford Harmony program empowers Pre-K through sixth grade teachers to foster better relationships among their students by using pedagogical tools to integrate simple and fun exercises into their lesson plans.

The Sanford Inspire program is designed to provide innovative learning experiences for teacher candidates and in-service teachers to develop the skills to be highly effective classroom leaders who inspire their students.

BOOST Collaborative, Sanford Harmony, Sanford Inspire, and UNICEF Kid Power hosted a free online BOOSTer Summit on August 7, 2020 to support global educators. The theme of the Summit was SEL in the Classroom and at Home. You can view video recordings from the Summit on our YouTube channel and read accolades from the Summit.

“This partnership gives us the opportunity to provide meaningful, high-quality, and targeted, professional development to educators not only for themselves, but to better serve their students and support them in reaching their potential and impact their learning experiences.”
-Tia Quinn, Founder & CEO, BOOST Collaborative
“Sanford Inspire is excited to join forces with BOOST Collaborative to provide research-based resources designed to support social-emotional learning and inspirational instruction in the PK-12 classroom. We collaborate with educational organizations to strengthen our vision of providing an inspirational teacher in every classroom. Becoming partners with BOOST Collaborative opens the door to bring new opportunities to the education community. We are very proud to partner with the BOOST family and look forward to supporting our students and educators.”
-Veronica Calvo, Sr. Manager, Partnerships for Sanford Inspire
“Sanford Harmony is so grateful to the BOOST Collaborative for opening the doors to so many educators to join Sanford Harmony in making a difference in the lives of children. We provide training resources to help in-school and out-of-school educators and caregivers to develop social emotional learning through everyday practices, lessons, and activities. Our partnership with BOOST Collaborative brings Harmony to life in classrooms, after school programs, and homes throughout the United States. Our first Summit as partners was an incredibly engaging and informative full day of training. We look forward to many more opportunities to bring social emotional learning to the BOOST Collaborative family of educators.”

Project THRIVE is a multi-year national campaign to create more equitable, inclusive support systems and communities for LGBTQ youth. Project THRIVE will build the skills and capacities of all youth-serving professionals to better meet the needs of LGBTQ young people.

Project THRIVE is a collaborative effort between many national organizations, each committed to identifying opportunities within their own sphere of influence to increase awareness about and provide resources to address the unmet needs of LGBTQ youth and to highlight best practices and success stories from their respective professional fields.

Every organization that is part of Project THRIVE has a unique role to play in strengthening family permanence and support, improving health and well-being, increasing school connection, and building a foundation of resilience so that all LGBTQ youth can thrive. Project THRIVE is committed to an intersectional approach in this work, and to ensuring that LGBTQ youth of color and those who are system-involved or have a history of homelessness are a priority focus.

This show of force across professions supported by leaders from the nation’s largest health, education, child welfare, legal, and juvenile justice organizations is aimed at consolidating work to address with singular focus the persistent challenges and barriers that not only prevent LGBTQ young people from thriving but continue to compromise their health and safety.

“We are pleased to represent the expanded learning, after school, and out-of-school time field through our partnership with Project THRIVE and excited to share resources and professional development opportunities with educators to better support LGBTQ youth to thrive. As educators, it is a priority to show up for our LGBTQ students and show them that they matter, that they have value, and  let them know that we SEE them.”
-Tia Quinn, Founder & CEO, BOOST Collaborative
“We are thrilled to have BOOST Collaborative join HRC Foundation’s Project THRIVE, and applaud their commitment to promoting safe and inclusive classrooms and after school programs for LGBTQ youth. We’ve had the privilege to participate in the annual BOOST conference for the past several years and look forward to future collaborations that will provide after school staff the attitudes, knowledge, and skills to advocate for and support LGBTQ youth.”
