Regional Manager, EduCare Foundation, Van Nuys, CA

Who or what inspires you?

My mom inspires me. She’s shown me how to be a strong, independent woman with focus. All I am today is a reflection of what I have been taught over the years.

What would students be surprised to find out about you?

That I can be shy and socially awkward at times. Whenever they see me I’m always so loud and talkative. They’d never think I was quiet and reserved.

What is one characteristic that you believe every leader should possess?

I believe that all leaders need to be understanding. Often our work as leaders means coaching individuals through their inexperience. In order to do that successfully, leaders must understand that everyone processes information differently.

What are you doing to ensure you continue to grow and develop as a leader?

I forever stay open to new experiences and people, accept new challenges and attend trainings that help cultivate my skills.

“Those who say “yes” are rewarded by the adventures they have.” -Keith Johnston

What are you currently watching on Netflix?

I am actually between Season 12 of Criminal Minds and Season 2 of Greenleaf.

Why are you a part of the BOOST Leadership Team?

I wanted to be part of the team that is consistently creating something great and meaningful for the field I’ve worked in for over 15 years. I also thought that with my love planning events, I’d be a valuable asset. I feel like I have a lot to give.

For breakfast, I have whatever is in the fridge. Sometimes it’s pizza or a taco, other times it’s a smoothie, but rarely is it actual breakfast.
