StartYourRecovery.org is a free, confidential tool that helps individuals take steps toward a healthy relationship with drugs and alcohol. It was developed with the input of leading clinicians, experts from leading organizations like SAMHSA, and people in recovery themselves. Here, individuals can hear stories from people with similar life experiences, discover the answers they need for recognizing and dealing with substance use issues, and locate support. Family and friends can learn about addiction and how to encourage treatment and support sober living on the website.

Covenant House

Covenant House was founded 40 years ago, taking in homeless youth, offering them a hearty meal, a bed to sleep on and shelter over their head. Moreover, this house strives to move each kid forward down the path to an independent adulthood by offering services such as street outreach, health and medical care, GED high school program and other.

To Write Love on Her Arms

TWLOHA is a non-profit that aims to provide hope for individuals battling addiction, depression, self injury, and suicidal thoughts. This organization is dedicated to connecting people to support groups, treatment centers, websites, and books in order to provide intervention, treatment, and recovery.

Teen Line

An online support based site run by teens for teens. The site does have a hotline, and also provides help through chat, message boards, and email.

Teen Mental Health

Teen Mental Health is an organization that hopes to utilize the latest scientific evidence to create training programs, publications and resources to improve understanding of adolescent mental health and mental disorders. Dr. Stan Kutcher and his team collaborate with health care providers, policymakers, schools, the business community, and the general public to deliver internationally recognized research on the mental health of youth.

Teen Central

An informational site for teens that provides advice about common problems that teens face.  Teens can register for the site and have access to forums and other helpful resources.

SAVE

Suicide Awareness Voices of Education (SAVE) is an organization dedicated to preventing suicide through public education, reducing stigmas associated with mental illness, and serving as a resource for those affected by suicide. SAVE is committed to increasing awareness about brain illnesses, symptoms, possible causes and the signs for professional treatment.

The Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation

The Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation is committed to raising awareness, understanding and research for early-onset Bipolar disorder. The foundation is currently working with the medical community to create new and improved treatments and therapies to overcome Bipolar Disorder.

NYU Child Study Center

A site that provides information about the mental health of children and adolescents.  The site includes an A to Z Disorder Guide, an article on how to raise healthy children, and when to seek treatment and how to find treatment.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

This lifeline is open 24/7 to help anyone who is struggling or just in need of someone to talk to.
