Webinar 3: Igniting Leadership in Young People

Editor’s Note: A special thank you to author @jillgordon for sharing the third of four of Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Indiana’s webinar series. Today’s post focuses on youth leadership practices that can be implemented in your program too!  Click on the webinar link below “Igniting Leadership in Youth” for the full program.  And keep your eyes open in April for the next special webinar from Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Indiana.

The Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Indiana (YPII) created a 4-part webinar series in 2016 to promote next-gen giving and youth engagement. These engaging sessions featured local and national experts on the topics of service learning and project based volunteerism, youth grant making, youth leadership, and tips for engaging youth in philanthropy.

Help young people explore their own personal brand of leadership during a lively discussion with BOOST blog favorite, Erika Petrelli, Sr. Vice President of Leadership Development at The Leadership Program.

This webinar highlights creative activities and practical resources and will help you identify ways youth can best step into their leadership. Listen to Igniting Leadership in Young People to discover the best methods for bringing out leadership in young people and leave with a better understanding of how staff at your organization can ignite the leadership of youth. Be sure to check out the webinar website to see great handouts with fun hands-on activities that will have your young people happily exploring leadership!

The Youth Philanthropy and Next-Gen webinar series incorporates the Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Indiana’s 4-Pillar Youth Philanthropy Model of serving, giving, leading, and engaging to explain the progression youth take from caring within their families to engaging others in their communities. Participants of youth-serving organizations will receive real-world examples and resources they can integrate into their out-of-school learning time.

For breakfast I had coffee with unsweetened vanilla almond milk, a cinnamon bagel with cream cheese, and lemon yogurt.
