Lysol® Minilabs Science Kits

The GIANT Room in collaboration with Lysol® has created a free digital-resource series of Minilab Science Kits accessible to educators, co-designed by teachers, families, and students. The HERE for Healthy Schools program is intended to promote healthy learning about microbes and germs to reduce school absenteeism.

Activities are designed for children in grades 1 and 2.

SFSU: Family Acceptance Project

The Family Acceptance Project at San Francisco State University offers research-based intervention, education, and policy initiatives to support families and youth. These initiatives promote well-being and offer preventative measures to the health and mental risks faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer-identified (LGBTQ) children and youth.

The Family Acceptance Project puts research into practice and offers a myriad of resources to both families and educational providers in order to build greater inclusivity and acceptance.

Healthy Care for Healthy Kids Obesity Toolkit

Resources for preventing childhood obesity and for improving care of children who are overweight.

The resources in this toolkit are designed to help primary care practice teams provide coordinated, integrated and multidisciplinary services to both prevent obesity and improve care for children who are already overweight or at risk for becoming overweight. Includes tools for prevention, assessment and diagnosis, management and treatment and community resources.

An interactive site for teens that addresses teen dating, relationships, and sex. Teens can create their own videos to post on the site about how they stay a teen. The site also contains a comprehensive list of resources for teens about pregnancy and sexual health.
