Western Regional Children’s Advocacy Center

The Western Regional Children’s Advocacy Center strengthens existing Children’s Advocacy Centers, and helps communities develop such centers, through training and technical assistance in 13 western states. Western Regional Children’s Advocacy Center exists through funding by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.

Voices for Children

Voices for Children transforms the lives of abused children in San Diego County by providing a court appointed special advocate (CASA). Voices for Children increases awareness about the foster care system and advocates for legal policies and practices that enhance the quality of life for foster children.

Understood

Understood is a collaboration of 15 nonprofit organizations who are coming together to support parents of the one in five children with learning and attention difficulties throughout their journey.

Trauma and Learning Policy Initiative (TLPI)

The Trauma and Learning Policy Initiative’s (TLPI) mission is to ensure that children traumatized by exposure to family violence and other adverse childhood experiences succeed in school.  To accomplish this mission, TLPI engages in a host of advocacy strategies including: providing support to schools to become trauma-sensitive environments; research and report writing; legislative and administrative advocacy for laws, regulations, and policies that support schools to develop trauma-sensitive environments; coalition building; outreach and education; and limited individual case representation in special education where a child’s traumatic experiences are interfacing with his or her disabilities.

The Teachers Guild

The Teachers Guild is a professional community that activates teachers’ creativity to solve the biggest challenges in education today. In their collaborative learning programs we use Design Thinking, a learner-centered approach to problem solving.

Speak Up for Kids

Also known as the Child Mind Institute, Speak Up for Kids leads a public education campaign about Mental Health issues and erasing the stigma that prevents parents from getting help for their kids.

Pinnacle Health

The Pinnacle Health Children’s Resource Center, located in Harrisburg, PA, provides efficient, quality care in a safe, child-friendly environment for children suspected of having been abused or neglected. By bringing together agencies including child protection services, social services, and victim advocacy, the CRC can ensure a child-focused approach to child abuse cases.

Medi-Cal Access Program

Medi-Cal Access Program is a low-income insurance provided by the State of California for pregnant mothers in order to give adequate medical assistance to pregnant women. MCAP insurance is based on income guidelines and it provides support to expecting mothers.
