American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) is a medical association dedicated to improving life for children and their families affected by mental, behavioral, or developmental disorders. AACAP promotes and supports research and training curricula to assure proper treatment in child psychiatry. Additionally, the Academy acts as a government liaison to respond to national policy in order to improve and expand psychiatric services to children and adolescents.

Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) works to improve the lives of millions of children and adults who suffer from anxiety and depression by promoting profession and public awareness of such disorders and how these illnesses impact people’s lives. ADAA encourages the advancement of scientific knowledge about anxiety, depression and related disorders to improve prevention, treatments, and cures. Additionally, ADAA links people who need treatment with experienced health providers that can provide the necessary health care.
National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD) is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to assisting people battling eating disorders such as Anorexia nervosa and Bulimia nervosa. ANAD supports individuals through awareness, advocacy, referral, prevention and education. In addition, ANAD runs a helpline and help email system.
Adolescent Self Injury Foundation (ASIF) is a non-profit that strives to raise awareness about adolescent self injury by providing education, prevention techniques, research and resources. ASIF hopes to increase understanding of issues related to self injury to help guide adolescents and families back to wellness and recovery.
Autism Speaks is an organization that is committed to funding research into the prevention, causes, treatments, and a cure for autism. The organization is dedicated to increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders as well as advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
