Families in Schools envisions a public education system where students have all the opportunities and resources necessary to succeed in school and in life. We seek a workforce prepared for lifelong learning, and active engagement in the civic life of our society. Guided by this belief, the mission of Families In Schools is to involve parents and communities in their children’s education to achieve lifelong success.
The Center for Family and Community Engagement (CFACE) is a public service and research center at North Carolina State University, founded in 2008. The Center fosters family-community-academic partnerships that are relevant and responsive to families and communities by supporting community engagement, offering training and technical assistance, and providing evaluation and research.
The National Family Engagement Alliance (NFEA) provides resources and support to educate, equip, and mobilize individuals, families, and organizations to ensure student success.
The Center for Effective Parenting positively impacts children by helping parents and those who work with parents enhance their knowledge, skills, and attitudes regarding parenting. The Center focuses on training, service, and research in order to have a broad impact in facilitating the healthy growth and development of children.

Since 1999, the DC Trust, formerly known as the DC Children and Youth Investment Trust Corporation, has been proud to work in partnership government, nonprofit, and advocacy groups to create big solutions to the most pressing needs of the city’s youth.
The Coalition for Community Schools is an alliance of national, state and local organizations in education K-16, youth development, community planning and development, family support, health and human services, government and philanthropy as well as national, state and local community school networks. They seek to mobilize the resources and capacity of multiple sectors and institutions to create a united movement for community schools.
YPP explores the intersection of youth, new media, and political life. Through research and targeted action projects, YPP is working to understand participatory politics, and support the development and implementation of best practices around youth engagement in participatory politics.
