Marisa Miller is the founder of All Things Afterschool, a hub dedicated to creating bright futures for children through offering a place of community, dynamic ideas, and useful, effective resources. In addition, Ms. Miller is the founder and owner of Afterschool Publishing, a source for original curriculum designed specifically for the afterschool world.

Ms. Miller is a former certificated classroom teacher who has taught elementary through high school grades and in a variety of learning environments, including a maximum security ward in a juvenile justice facility, a magnet math elementary school, and public elementary schools. Ms. Miller also co-founded two rural charter schools (middle and high) for at-promise teens. A former program director and/or supervisor for a myriad of program designs (ie. a hands-on marine science center, a Girls Inc. program with two centers, a school district’s multiple-site ASES-funded afterschool programs) she has an expansive range of professional knowledge and skills to draw upon in supporting children, programs, leaders, staff, and families of all types and with a wide variety of needs.

Professional development opportunities include workshops on creating engaging enrichment, improving program quality, and building staff capacity (Good to Great for Program Leaders and Good to Great for Site Coordinators), as well as many other specialized topics. Ms. Miller can also be contracted to help programs develop a powerful Training & Development program, to teach staff to develop their own high-quality enrichment programs, or to directly write custom enrichment programs, train staff, and support high-quality implementation.

An engaging speaker, she is also available for coaching, mentoring, and keynote addresses to inspire and inform.
