Community can also be struggle – together, we move through life’s challenges to life each other up and come out better on the other side. We change, we care, we support. That is community to me.

Thank you for your post on Community. I agree that Community engages our heart and crosses time, space and place. I believe that we have the power to engage in our community to truly inspire long term change, it is an opportunity if we grab it!
Community tells us that we are not alone! If we feel accepted and cared for by our community then it becomes our identity. You look around and say “These people are my kind of people”. Thank you for your reply – your passion for community inspired me tremendously, and your questions challenged me. Being in a people-centered space, how do we give back to our community? Your question about whether we take or give more is causing me to pause and be authentically introspective. One I need to consider a bit more deeply. Thank you – it gives me a lot to think about!
