We need an innovative STEAM Enrichment Specialist to drive the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math and Makerspace side of this learning journey.

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE AND INTERFACES
Position Reports to: Senior Director of Learning & Innovation
Primary Interfaces: Senior Director of Learning & Innovation, Co-Enrichment Specialists, General Managers, Program Managers, Unit Directors, Assistant Unit Directors and Mentor Coaches
Compensation: $20-$22.00/hour, based on education and experience
Hours per Week: 25-28 hours/week (Must be able to provide an open/consistent schedule M-F between the hours of 1:00pm-6:30pm. This is not a remote work position.)
The Role: Are you a STEAM and Makerspace enthusiast with a knack for innovation and a passion for learning and mentoring? As our STEAM Enrichment Specialist, you will be the heartbeat of our Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math and Makerspace programming. Working in concert with the Senior Director of Learning & Innovation and the Co-Enrichment Specialists that make up The Learning & Innovation Team, you will design engaging content, test projects, develop interactive experiences, and train others to spread STEM, Arts and Makerspace (STEAM) learning experiences for kids in Kinder-8th grade.
What You Will Do:
Content Curator Champions:
- Dream up and design exciting STEAM projects and activities that captivate young minds.
- Curate a dynamic mix of hands-on experiences, creative challenges, and cutting-edge tech experiences.
- Keep our makerspace buzzing with the latest STEAM trends and ensure our content is always fresh and fun.
Adventurous Tester:
- Dive into your creations and run live tests to see what works and what needs a tweak.
- Collect feedback, analyze data, and refine activities to ensure they are both educational and exciting.
- Troubleshoot challenges, making sure every project runs smoothly.
Creative Developer:
- Bring your ideas to life by developing interactive lessons, innovative activities, and engaging digital tools.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Learning & Innovation and tech vendors to enhance our makerspace resources.
- Collaborate across the Department of Learning & Innovation to infuse projects with creativity and tech to make STEAM learning unforgettable.
Inspiring Trainer:
- Lead hands-on workshops and training sessions for Mentor Coaches, General Managers, Unit Directors, Program Manager, and other key stakeholders.
- Share your expertise and enthusiasm, equipping others with the skills to deliver STEAM and Makerspace experiences across Clubs and school sites.
- Develop training materials and resources that empower our community to foster a love for STEAM & Makerspace learning.
What We Are Looking For:
- Someone who is passionate about STEAM, learning, and mentoring, with a degree or experience in a related field (Engineering, Robotics, Design, Art, Education, etc.).
- A minimum of 2 years’ work experience in out of school time programming.
- Proven experience in delivering content, designing and/or modifying activities
- Instructional design experience or makerspace management preferred but not required
- Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to overcoming challenges.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a talent for engaging and inspiring young minds.
- Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for content development and delivery.
- A sense of humor, a love for experimentation, and a passion for making learning fun!
