If you have a passion for communications and design and are ready to make an impact, bring fresh ideas to the table, and help us build something amazing, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

As our Communications & Engagement Specialist, you’ll support projects that connect, inspire, and grow existing and new partner relationships.

You will:

  • Engage & Support Online Communities: Drive engagement through our community platforms by developing interactive challenges, sparking conversations, responding to members, and helping shape the experience for members.
  • Create Compelling Content: Draft clear, engaging communications, including emails, newsletters, flyers, social posts, visual digital assets, community updates, and more.
  • Support Virtual, Hybrid, & In-person Events: Assist with event logistics and facilitation to ensure a high-quality, interactive, and memorable experience for participants.
  • Dive into Data & Analytics: Track and analyze engagement metrics to ensure our content and programs hit the mark. Use insights to propose strategies for growth.
  • Contribute to Business Growth: Brainstorm and implement creative ideas to improve operations and social channels, including enhancements to existing programs and experiences.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with the leadership team to bring ideas to life, support new initiatives, and help our growing community thrive.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of communication, strategy, and design skills—specifically one who can roll up their sleeves and make things happen.

You have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in communications, community engagement, program coordination, or a similar role.
  • Degree in Communications, Design, or related field.
  • Polished Communication Skills: You can write, design, and verbally communicate clear, compelling content that connects with your audience.
  • Creativity & Compassion: You bring fresh ideas, solutions, and a passion for storytelling and relationship building/management to the team.
  • Organization & Initiative: You are detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in a dynamic, flexible, remote environment.
  • A Growth Mindset: You’re always looking for ways to learn, evolve, drive enhancements, solve problems, and contribute to CoLabL’s growth.
  • Design Savvy: You have experience creating flyers, presentation slides (PowerPoint), and digital graphic assets. Bonus points for expertise in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Tech Savvy (OPTIONAL): If you enjoy tackling tech challenges like fixing design glitches in an email or creating Excel magic, let us know! While not required, these skills are a welcome bonus.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

At CoLabL, we pride ourselves on creating a relationship-centered and solution-oriented learning environment. As part of our small, focused team, you’ll get to:

  • Work from Anywhere: Fully remote. Your workspace, your choice. To support your remote work experience, we’ll provide a $1,000 home office stipend after 90 days and ongoing reasonable work-related expenses such as internet costs or office supplies.
  • Enjoy Flexibility: We offer an open, flexible PTO policy to support your mental health balance. While time off does not accrue or carry over, we trust you to take reasonable and appropriate time away while balancing work commitments.
  • Grow Your Career: Be part of something exciting and entrepreneurial, with endless opportunities to learn, grow, and connect through the CoLabL partner network. Up to $2,000 in annual training reimbursement for reasonable and approved professional development opportunities, such as workshops, certifications, webinars, subscriptions, or conferences. At least annually, you will be invited to an all-expense paid annual professional and wellness experience to connect and grow with the team.
  • Earn Competitive Pay: $70,000 – $80,000 base salary + performance bonus*.
  • Stay Healthy: Fully covered healthcare plan for you and partially covered options for your family, ensuring everyone stays happy and strong. Benefits begin on the first day of the month after 60 calendar days of employment.
  • Plan for the Future: 401(k) benefit plan with a 6% matching contribution starting after 60 days.
