Designed to increase availability of local food in schools while connecting students to food sources, the Patrick Leahy Farm to School Implementation Grant awards projects of 24 months. Note that eligible applicants are required to provide support match of at least 25%.
While state agencies are not eligible for this grant, eligible applicants include schools and/or institutions operating child nutrition programs as well as Indian Tribal Organizations, non-profit entities, local agencies, and agricultural producers/groups of agricultural producers.
