Foundations

Foundations is a FREE online program with minimal adult help required! Students will learn about Social-Emotional Learning, and receive the building blocks for school, such a courage, integrity, and health. Math and reading components will still be met, along with physical activity and fun virtual field trips! Foundations was created by certified teachers and counselors from the CLC Team. KidNation

KidNation was built on the foundation of enrichment through entertainment for the next generation. With everything going on in this world, KidNation felt extremely passionate about releasing “Get Along” early. The message is simple but needed now more than ever. KID smART, a creative youth development education-based nonprofit organization, has created a video series for K-8th grade students to continue engaging in the arts. Currently, they have over 64 videos that are free to the public on their YouTube channel.

K12 Inc. Summer Camp

K12 Inc. Summer Camp offers tuition-free,  career-oriented summer courses in coding, video game design and programming, business and marketing, health care, and more—some of which will even earn students high school credit.

Numerade

Take part in Numerade’s online prep STEM camp sessions taught by top educators covering SAT test prep, precalculus, physics, chemistry, and more.

Summer Learning

Avoid the “summer slide” and keep the spirit of curiosity alive with these informal, anytime learning resources. Home Base is a free, online multiplayer game for youth where they can meet their favorite book characters, write stories, and hang out with other readers in a safe, moderated place.

Calculation Nation® uses the power of the Web to let students challenge opponents from anywhere in the world. At the same time, students are able to challenge themselves by investigating significant mathematical content and practicing fundamental skills. The element of competition adds an extra layer of excitement.

Breathe, Think, Do with Sesame

Breathe, Think, Do with Sesame by Sesame Workshop. Available for iOS and Droid, and in both English and Spanish, this app offers Interactive cartoons which teach how to deal with frustration, separation anxiety, disappointment, impatience, and fear of the dark. It suggests using a “breathe, think, and do” strategy — breath slowly three times, think of a plan (three plans per problem are suggested), then do it.
