Community Schools
Communities In Schools works with public school systems to assess student needs and establishes relationships with local businesses, human service agencies, health care providers and volunteer organizations to provide necessary resources.
The Coalition for Community Schools is an alliance of national, state and local organizations in education K-16, youth development, community planning and development, family support, health and human services, government and philanthropy as well as national, state and local community school networks. They seek to mobilize the resources and capacity of multiple sectors and institutions to create a united movement for community schools.
The Center for Strategic Community Innovation (CSCi) is a non-profit committed to improving the quality of life in communities through public education, youth development, health and social services, juvenile justice, and community development. CSCi ‘s Community Schools Initiative is a school reform strategy that addresses the social and educational inequalities by working with the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
