American Legion

The American Legion offers a number of scholarships and other resources to assist young people in their pursuit of higher education. There are opportunities for everyone, including kin of wartime veterans and participants in Legion programs.

Audria M. Edwards Scholarship Fund

Audria M. Edwards Scholarship Fund was established in 1987 by her children, Woody Johnson a.k.a. Lady Elaine Peacock and Misty Waters. The Scholarship is administered by Peacock Productions Inc. and is available to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community and/or the children of gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender persons who reside in Oregon and/or Southwest Washington.

Change a Life Foundation

Non-renewable scholarship for up to $5,000.

College Board

The College Board promotes excellence and equity in education through programs for K–12 and higher education institutions, and by providing students a path to college opportunities, including financial support and scholarships. You will find resources geared towards the education community through research and advocacy on behalf of students, educators, schools and colleges.

College Prowler is a college search engine that has created insider college guides that are written by actual students on campus. The site has more than seven hundred thousand student reviews that cover over seven thousand schools. In addition the website has a data base for over 3.2 million scholarships.

FinAid is a comprehensive website that offers financial aid information, advice on scholarships and applications, and advice on navigating student loans. FinAid also provides objective information for parents and caregivers on how to save for a child’s college education.
