American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) is a medical association dedicated to improving life for children and their families affected by mental, behavioral, or developmental disorders. AACAP promotes and supports research and training curricula to assure proper treatment in child psychiatry. Additionally, the Academy acts as a government liaison to respond to national policy in order to improve and expand psychiatric services to children and adolescents.
