Bulldog Day Camp Counselor

Bullis Summer Programs is seeking enthusiastic, energetic individuals who enjoy working with children ages 3½-11 in a full-day, 8-week day camp program. Programs have varied activities both indoors and outdoors. For Bulldog Day Camp, this includes weekly field trips and swimming for campers over the age of 5. Other skills include the ability to be proactive in addressing situations, maintain a good work ethic, and remain even-tempered.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates are caring and compassionate, able to engage and manage groups of children in various settings, and are able to communicate effectively both verbally and by example.

Counselors must be at least 16 by June 16, 2025. Preference is given to candidates available for the entire eight weeks of camp (June 16- August 8- no camp June 19 or July 4).

Essential Functions:

• Supervise and be responsible for a group of 10-12 campers at all times
• Ensure the classroom where their group of campers meet is kept clean and in order
• Actively work with, play, and engage with campers
• Maintain a high level of energy throughout the camp day
• Assist with or lead games and activities with campers
• Help with changing camper clothing (Bulldog Day Camp Jr. only)
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
