Title:  Associate, JNTP Program Operations

Reports to: Executive Director, JNTP

Status: Full-time, exempt position, NYC-based

Location: Remote, (Must be based in New York, NY)

Who We Are: 
The Jewish New Teacher Project is a division of the New Teacher Center focused on Jewish day schools. JNTP brings NTC’s proven approach to education and mentoring methodology to teachers of all subjects and grades in Jewish day schools. Since 2003, JNTP has worked with over 225 schools and over 2,000 educators. This year alone, over 40,000 students in Jewish day schools have a teacher trained by JNTP.

Your Impact: 

The Associate, JNTP Program Operations will report to the Executive Director, JNTP, and will be responsible for supporting critical aspects of JNTP’s operations and program execution. This includes organizing professional development events, assisting with recruitment, managing registration and contracts, conducting development activities, assessing impact, and providing administrative support to the senior leadership of JNTP. The Associate, JNTP Program Operations will collaborate with almost every member of the JNTP team and several departments at the New Teacher Center to ensure the continuity and efficiency of JNTP operations and program delivery.

What Will You Do:

The following is an overview of the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position: (The employee may perform other duties as required.)

Program Execution & Administration (50%)

  • Collaborate with the JNTP Program Team to ensure professional development events run smoothly, including on-site staffing, troubleshooting, materials storage, and accurate communication with participants before and after events
  • Prepare feedback forms, and serve as technical producer for online and in-person professional development held during the day or evening
  • Provide administrative support to the Program Team, including but not limited to maintaining lists, creating certificates of completion, tracking attendance, recruitment and registration of JNTP events, and managing PD make-ups
  • Prepare program materials for printing and distribution including, participant packets, presenter PowerPoint decks, supplemental materials, and posters

Contracts, Title Funding, and Invoices (25%)

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and NTC Finance and Business Operations team to prepare contracts, communicate with schools and local districts, track title funding, and prepare documentation for submission.
  • Assist the Executive Director with invoice collections, invoice review, and communication with schools regarding invoicing and collections

Development (25%)

  • Process donations to JNTP, including scanning and recording gifts, preparing thank you letters, and communicating with NTC staff
  • Collaborate with the JNTP Development Team to maintain a database of funders/prospects, contact info, personnel changes
  • Support the JNTP Development Team with fundraising events (1-2 per year) – manage lists, prepare materials, track RSVPs, oversee pre- and post-event communications, prepare the hosting space, order food, and provide on-site support.

What will you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a related field
  • 2-4 years providing project and/or administrative support in a diverse cross-functional organization
  • Strong skills working with a wide range of staff at all levels
  • Excellent cognitive skills, including the ability to process various inputs and then synthesize, organize, enhance, and present them in a clear and accessible manner
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify early indicators that may impact project success and identify potential solutions that meet project needs
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to create key documents required by the project
  • Strong attention to detail, file management, project management, and organization skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro, and Google Applications.
  • Experience with project management and CRM platforms is preferred.
  • Proximity to NYC to set up and staff in-person PDs and pick up and return materials to mini-storage
  • Familiarity with Jewish day schools and/or Jewish communal organizations is preferred.

What We Offer:
This position offers a competitive salary range of $65,705-$88,895 and a robust benefits package. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary closer to the start of the range. At NTC, when determining a salary offer for a role, we consider the role, experience, and skills needed while maintaining equity in our compensation bands. For this and other reasons, we have adopted a no-negotiation policy.

  • Approximately 15% travel – To include: program delivery outside of NYC (e.g., Chicago, Baltimore), staff retreat, and internal learning sessions.
