Who or what inspires you?
The children and families that I serve in my community inspire me every day.
What is one characteristic that you believe every leader should possess?
Integrity. You will never go wrong with quality of character.
Can you name a person who has had a tremendous impact on you as a leader? Why and how did this person impact your life?
My father is the person who has had the most impact on me. He is a fearless leader with a heart of gold, both for his company and for his family. His impact on me translates to my personal and professional life. He is a man who shows quality of character in all of his decisions. My father is a big picture thinker, very passionate, and has found the perfect balance of using his heart and mind in his leadership.
As a leader, it is important to be an engaged and understanding listener. Being genuine and thoughtful in communication while being clear and to the point is also important to me. It’s my opinion that every good decision is based on what is best for children. Keeping this perspective at the forefront simplifies a lot of decision-making. Lastly, don’t be afraid to be part of a team that shares varying perspectives and opinions. Being open to learning from others is key, not to mention FUN!
What are you currently watching on Netflix?
Arrested Development. Season 2, Episode 2.
Why are you a part of the BOOST Leadership Team?
I am part of the BOOST Leadership Team because I want to join those who choose to impact positive leadership for children and those serving children. To Inspire Youth, Inspire Learning, and Inspire Change is the mission of BOOST, and that aligns with the passion that I feel for what I do! I enjoy the enthusiastic spirit of collaboration that is BOOST and the BOOST Leadership Team.
For breakfast, I had a Venti iced skinny vanilla latte, quad shot, 1 Splenda, 8 ice cubes.
