Robin Elliott, Ed.D. is currently the Associate Dean, School of Education and Director of Social, Emotional and Academic Development at Long Island University in Brooklyn. In this role, she supports the training and implementation of Social Emotional Learning Strategies within thousands of schools and afterschool organizations in New York and surrounding territories. Dr. Elliott provides weekly professional development sessions to pre-service and in-service educators on Emotional Intelligence and strategies to increase resilience and cultural competencies for educators and youth development facilitators.

Dr. Robin Elliott has over 28 years of teaching and administration experience in New York City and South Carolina. Her passion is supporting the emotional intelligence of educators, families and students, with an emphasis on those affected by poverty and adverse childhood experiences. Her most recent qualitative research titled Factors that Influence the Retention of Urban, Hispanic Male Graduates is in publication.
