Brain research gives us special insight into how understanding the adolescent brain can be foundational in engaging youth, understanding root causes of behavior, and improving effectiveness as an instructor, providing for a more profound program experience for middle school youth. Staff will receive key insights into how incentives, motivation, participation, and behavior are rooted in the stages of brain development. In addition, Staff will reflect on research findings and apply strategies to specific site and classroom situations/scenarios. Engagement begins with understanding!
