LGBTQ+ youth are under attack and that is having a devastating impact on their mental health and well-being. Over 500 anti-LGBTQ+ bills were introduced across the country in 2023 alone and the majority of that legislation targeted transgender youth. This workshop will provide an overview of the current political landscape for the LGBTQ+ community, share data from HRC’s 2023 Youth Report, and share key strategies youth-serving professionals can use to support LGBTQ+ youth at this moment.
