My grandmother was a trapper of Potawatomi descent, and my grandfather a Pawnee storyteller. Through movement, story, ancestral song, and steady rhythm, we will celebrate the Chesapeake Bay region— built on the ancestral hunting ground of many First Nations – as participants explore their own native lands, flora, fauna, and ecosystems as they “catch” things using imagination, embody animals through dramatic play, and experience how local animals can help create brave classroom communities.
