This dynamic session will include discussion and hands-on activities. We will focus on an approach to developing a sense of belonging in STEM spaces for BIPOC girls. Participants will engage in a hands-on activity designed to center BIPOC contributions to STEM and disrupt the stock story of STEM for and by white men. Participants will also reflect on their learning and explore strategies for creating spaces of belonging for BIPOC girls and gender-expansive youth.
