Advancement Project is a policy advocacy, data research, and power building organization that
advances the needs of marginalized communities. Through rigorous analysis, we reveal the disparities in our state and support ground level advocates with the tools to enact change. This workshop will provide an overview of the Local Control Funding Formula – the new law that transforms the way California’s public school are funded – and the Local Control and Accountability Plan. Participants will be able to learn the basic tools on how to advocate at the district level for programs and students of color.
