The Growing Years of Clayton is seeking a Curriculum Coordinator to work within our licensed childcare facility!
Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Center Director with implementation of child portfolios and child assessments
- Program Development and Teacher Interaction Development:Review classroom interactions, behaviors, routines to identify development needs and provide support as needed by the center director.
- Identify training/resource needs in areas of program, sanitation, regulatory compliance, and provide hands on support where needed or requested.
- Lesson Planning and Program Development:Incorporate developmental objectives into LP’s and oversee modification requests of staff.
- Review LP crates, provide appropriate feedback to teachers.
- Arrange for weekly LP supplies, maintain common area supply closet.
- Integrate activities and developmental goals into Tadpole system and Daily Reports.
- Assist the Center Director with Special Projects and Classroom Environments:Playground initiatives.
- Indoor gross motor activity plans and resources.
- Classroom environment maintenance in correlation to NCRLAP.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining quality of education standards per company guidelines including labeling, communication boards, classroom arrangement, resources specific to children’s needs, program and classroom enrichments.
- Classroom Observations and Maintenance:Conduct classroom observations as needed or requested by center director using current monthly observation forms.
- Provide feedback to center director and direct teacher support to teachers as needed, acting as a liaison between staff and management team as necessary.
- Provide operations back up for management team if needed, or when Third Key is unavailable.
Qualifications:
- A completed bachelor’s degree in early childhood education OR currently working on/completing a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education
- Previous experience working as a teacher within a licensed childcare facility
- Some leadership experience preferred

- Compensation: $21/hr
