The Ray Charles Foundation offers grants to organizations and programs for scientific, educational, and charitable purposes. Awards are made across three categories: education, hearing disorders, and culture and the arts. In the area of education, the Foundation supports institutions that provide educational services to underprivileged young people, including after school programs, college preparatory activities, academic/therapy support services, and literacy programs. Hearing disorder grants will go toward research and treatment as well as educational programs and resources that support youth with hearing disorders. Culture and Arts grants support institutions and museums that offer musical and cultural education and access to disadvantaged youth.
