Description

The Lisa Libraries donates new children's books and small libraries to organizations that work with children in poor and underserved areas. Some of the libraries established have been at daycare centers, visiting areas in prisons for children of incarcerated parents, and afterschool programs. The Lisa Libraries has a strong interest in supporting small, grass-roots organizations. Organizations can write to The Lisa Libraries and include the following: information about the program, the number of children served, age range of children served, information about the socioeconomic status of the community served by the applicant organization (such as eligibility statistics for Title I and Federal School Lunch Program), and a breakdown of how the books would be used.
