Description

English Language Arts Teacher Educators (ELATE) of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) awards the Geneva Smitherman Cultural Diversity Grant to increase participation in ELATE by historically underrepresented groups. The grant supports travel and attendance at the NCTE Convention by first-time presenters. A program proposal for an individual or panel presentation at the NCTE Convention must be submitted and accepted to qualify for this grant.
